Over 50 students from the local high schools (Ridgeway-Crystal Beach High School, Fort Erie Secondary School, and Niagara Christian Community of Schools) have designed and will be painting mural panels themed "Youth in Arts". The live painting event is organized and sponsored by the Fort Erie Arts Council, along with The Sanctuary Centre for the Arts, and Niagara Christian Community of Schools.

This two day workshop will encourage participants to explore and play with storytelling through creating and binding their own book. Friday evening's program will focus on building books together with various styles of Japanese binding techniques. Saturday, participants will create a personal graphic novel, fairy tale or scrapbook using fun and bright materials that will make their book a piece of art and a great story. The participants will have an opportunity to share these books with their peers and adults learning a similar technique in a consecutive workshop.

Join us for painting and free-cycling; add your touch to the community mural and create a porch-top garden from throw away containers. Go on the Jane's Walk using sidewalk chalk to leave your mark on the sidewalks and buildings of the neighbourhood, disposable cameras will be used by participants to document the experience.
