KALEIDOSCOPE – Circus in Technicolour features the circus talents of teenaged circus performers from the Performance and Centre Stage programs of CirKids in an original production staged at the PNE Garden Auditorium. This spectacular performance tells the story of a young boy who searches for and is inspired by coloured worlds of circus and ultimately finds his true colours.

Come out to St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School and listen to spoken word artist Janice Lee take the mic for an hour of slam poetry. Janice Lee is a singer-songwriter, spoken word poet, storyteller, and community organizer rooted in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. She currently performs music and spoken word as a solo artist, and also with her blues, folk band Janice Lee and the Free Radicals. She is the artistic director of the KW Poetry Slam and a member of the 2012 and 2013 KW Slam Teams. In September 2013 she received the Cord Community Best Arts Mover and Shaker Award for her community-building through the arts. Find her biking around town, setting up poetry and music shows, facilitating spoken word and activism workshops, and making sweet soulful music.

Gathering miscellaneous pieces of trash and other odd objects on a walkabout in downtown North Bay, partcipants will work together to assemble found object art pieces. The pieces will then be photographed and posted on the Gallery's facebook, instagram, and twitter pages. This activity will engage youth with our downtown core and provide fun ways for them to collaborate while exploring their creativity.
