This workshop has two central purposes. The first is to give artists tools to use in workshop facilitation such as exercises, techniques of engagement, and structuring a workshop. The second is to help artists understand the process and effort necessary to sustain spoken word community-based initiatives such as administration, communicating with potential partners, and maintaining work ethic and professionalism.

This is the second annual Extracurricular event being held in Waterloo Public Square on Saturday, May 3 from 12:00 noon - 9:00 pm by the eyeGo to the Arts Youth Council. . The event will consist of a tradeshow where different organizations and vendors from across the city will be present to promote themselves and the opportunity they provide youth within the community. The evening will include performances from local musicians and programming by our partner vendors and exhibitors and then finally culminating by a Dare Night and a live headliner band performance presented by the eyeGO Youth Council!
